What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of creative and original works, inclusive to both artworks and writing.
What is the theme of this zine?
The zine will be focused on the Hayakawa Family’s travels! The scrapbook will include snippets from all three characters as well as accompanying artwork depicting their trips. AUs will not be allowed for this, and depictions will be asked to stay canon-compliant.
What are the specs of the zine?
The zine is strictly SFW, for charity, and digital!
Will you have a physical zine?
No, the team decided to stay digital, zine and merch alike.
How will contributors be compensated for this zine?
Contributors will be compensated by receiving a free bundle of the digital zine and merch. After distribution to customers, proceeds will be donated to an organization, specifically Doctors Without Borders
How many contributors will be in the zine?
Around 50-55! 38 page artists, 7 merch artists, and 10 writers. The zine allows room for more contributors since it’s digital.
Will other characters be allowed to appear?
Other Chainsaw Man characters are allowed to appear in the zine, but the focus must be kept on at least one Hayakawa Family member. Likewise, not every artwork has to depict all three of them, but at least one must be featured and not overshadowed by other characters!
Are ships allowed?
No. The zine must feature platonic relationships only.
Are AUs allowed?
AUs are allowed as long as they stick to the theme of traveling, and are canon-adjacent. (Ex. They take a roadtrip, they go to the beach, etc.)
Will there be guests?
Yes! Guests have been invited to the zine, and we are excited to reveal them!
Who can apply?
Contributors must be aged 16 or older at the time of application (December 10), and must have the approval of a guardian and can be paid through their guardian’s PayPal account to receive their compensation. Moderators are also allowed to contribute if they wish, however they won’t get extra compensation.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes, but applicants will only be accepted for one contributor position.
Is this a purely collaborative zine?
Not at all, but artists and writers will have the option to pair up if they so wish to work on a prompt together!
